‘Dreaming Girl’ is about the connection between the multisensory experience of water with the body. This work was drawn from the memory of being a teenager in my friends front courtyard on a warm Queensland afternoon surrounded by verdant green foliage, the sound of a water fountain and a summer rain storm. Bronze with a cool black and faintly green patina was chosen as it evokes the idea of water.
