Our Annual & Awards Exhibition 2025
from 11 to 29 June at the
historic Victorian Artist Society Galleries,
430 Albert St East Melbourne.

Gallery hours

10 to 4 weekdays and 11 to 4 weekends. The exhibiting artists will be sitting the exhibition and look forward to chatting with you about their work.

Encourage Victoria's Sculptors

The exhibition is in two sections - the Margaret Gunnersen William Hoggan Thomas Award for sculptors with more than ten year's sculpting experience; and the Andor Meszaros Sculpture Award for emerging sculptors with fewer than ten year's experience. All the artists appreciate your visit and look forward to the encouragement your comments will bring.

Presentation of Awards

Awards will be announced and presented in the Hammond Gallery, Victorian Artists Society on Sunday 22 June between 2 and 4pm. Guest speaker and external judge for the exhibition is Jason Waterhouse Director Sculpture Co.. All are welcome to join us to celebrate the exhibition.

Artists' Floor Talks - Saturday 14 June

Do you have children or grandchildren who would love to ask questions about sculptures? There are free talks for primary age children at the Association of Sculptors of Victoria Annual Awards Exhibition by ex-primary school teacher Jude Bridges Tull on Saturday 14 June.

Children must be accompanied by an adult and the Talk will last for 40 minutes. Numbers are limited to 12 per session as there are lots of sculptures. Please book for the Adult/s as well as the children.

Sessions will be at 11.30am,12.30pm, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm.

Access for Vision Impaired Visitors

In general we ask that visitors do not touch the sculptures - however upon request blind and vision impaired visitors can be guided to experience those sculptures that are suitable to be touched - many artists have given permission for this and are interested in feedback from people experiencing art through touch.
